Hello maxrun and welcome to BC :flowers:

We need a bit more information from you. What is your operating system: Windows XP, Vista etc.?

Also, when you say that you can't save an HJT log, do you mean that the program isn't running? Do you mean that a log file isn't produced? Please let us know exactly, step-by-step what you are doing when you run the program and try to produce or save the log.

The Program runs fine but when I tell it to save the log file after scanning, it doesn't come up with a notepad or a path for me to save the file to.
I am running windows xp.

Hi :trumpet: I too found this little quirk a bit annoying when it happened to me so located the information on this link which worked for me with a similar problem

http://www.newbie.org/help/messages/53249.html

NOTE: Should the log not open in Notepad by default, do this:

. Highlight the logfile by clicking on it once
Hold down the shift key and then right-click your mouse
Select "Open With" from the menu
. Pick Notepad.exe.

Be sure to check the box, "Always use this program to open these files".

Click "OK" and you are all done!

I hope this helps?
