Without warning both of my cd rom drives stopped working. They open and close, but do not automatically start the cd. I un-installed them, restarted the computer, but the problem persists. One is a Phillips Cd D 4851 CD R/RW and the other is a Pioneer DVD-RomDVD116.
Has anybody encountered this before?

have you checked the cable connection to the motherboard?
