My audio device has disappeared. Last night I had audio when streaming. Now today all I have is the system sounds.
Computer info:
Compaq Desk Pro - Windows XP Home Version - Service Pak 2
Intel Pentium III processor
ES 1869 Plug and Play Audio Drive (WDM)

This happened once before and I was able to correct the problem. I can't remember how I fixed it, I think that I found the solution in somepne's post here at Bleeping Computer, but I can't find the post.

Could someone help me or point me to where I need to go to solve this problem.

As always your help is greatly appreciated. This is a fantastic site and I tell everyone I know about it.

Thanks
Suzanne

Open Device Manager and expand all of the +'s. Look for yellow exclamation points and let us know what device they're by

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

Strangely enough when I got home from work last night the audio device was back. Before I left for work I powered off my computer, upon restarting the device was availabe.

Thanks for your quick response.

This is the best self-help site I have found. :flowers:
