Lately my synaptics pointing device has been acting up. I can't use the scroll option and the click is setup to a double touch to select. I go to the control panel to change the settings of the mouse and a message pops up saying "unable to connect to a synaptics point device driver". How do I fix this?

Hi Soccerluver231, and welcome to BleepingComputer.

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Go to the support website of the manufacturer of your system and search for downloads for your product. In that list will be the drivers for the Synaptics touchpad - just download them from there and double click to install them.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
