My Acer aspire Desktop PC was OK last night.

I turned it on this morning and it sounded like a jet engine was in my basement. It think the noise is from the fan.

The pC does nothing else. The monitor says no input signal and remains off.

Also for some read the CD doors willnot open.

There are light on inside the PC.

I have shut off the unit and turned it back on, results the same, just Fan noise.

I would apprecaite any help you can give me

Thanks

Sounds like the power supply went out on the computer. Do you have access to a voltmeter?
