Well, for some odd reason I've been getting hit with issues. I was thinking of just wiping my entire hard drive, but I have too many valuables.

My first problem came into effect when I tried to un-install a wi-fi usb. It's made by Datel, and is called "Wi-Fi Max". No matter what I try, I can't install it. I removed the folder assoicated with it, and yet it still shows.

Second issue, is when I start up my computer, it shows the desktop like normal, but then flashes black as if activating something, and returns to normal. I have no idea what this means, and I couldn't tell you guys when it started happening because I rarely turn off my computer. I don't know if this is associated with it, but when I right click my desktop, and go to properties, then to settings, then advanced, I receive this error.

Lastly, sometimes my computer hangs when doing things. It could be msn, or just browsing a folder. The folder doesn't even have alot of contents. I tried running AVG Free, but it showed nothing.

Here is my HJT Log

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:

Hi I am not seeing any malware in your logs.

From the Pictures you provided it seems as if the Nvidia setting are corrupt or not working correctly.

Do you know if you recently did any driver updates from Microsoft?

Please open up Notepad and copy all of the items in the code box below.
Change the "Save As Type" to "All Files". Save it as fixthis.reg on your Desktop.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
"AppInit_DLLs"=""
Now double-click fixthis.reg.
A window will come up asking if you want to let it merge with the registry.
Click yes.
==================
You can delete that after it merges with the registry.

Please delete\uninstall anything that we used.
==================================
I would first try to reinstall drivers for the Nvidia drivers and see if that works or rolling back the Nvidia driver to a previous date.

Post back with the results and we will continue from there.
Please do not pm for help, post it in the forums instead.

Everything seems to be working fine after re-installing Nvida drivers, and re-installing Wi-Fi drivers. I thank you for your time :thumbsup:

Great your log is clean.

But one thing I did not see is a running antivirus.
I will need you to Download this anti-virus program and install it.
This is free.
AVG free
=====================

The following is a list of tools and utilities that I like to suggest to people. This list is full of great tools and utilities to help you understand how you got infected and how to keep from getting infected again.

Spybot Search & Destroy-Uber powerful tool which can search and annhilate nasties that make it onto your system. Now with an Immunize section that will help prevent future infections.

Ad-Aware-Another very powerful tool which searches and kills nasties that infect your system. AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy compliment each other very well.

Spyware Blaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.

Spywareguard-Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.

IE-SPYAD- puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.

Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.

Castle Cops To find out more information about how you got infected in the first place and some great guidelines to follow to prevent future infections you can read this article by Tony Klein.

If you have any further problems please feel free to contact G2Go.:wacko:

You are welcome :thumbsup:
