I have just formatted my hard disk and re-installed XP.

I installed the Service Pack 2 cd, but have since found I also have a cd for Service Pack 1.

Are the contents of Service Pack 1 included in Service Pack 2, or do I need to install Service Pack 1 as well? If so, is it ok to install Service Pack 1 after Service Pack 2?

You are fine with Service Pack 2, it contains everything from SP1. Just make sure you go get all the critical updates since SP2.

I finally got it all together, now if I could just remember where I put it.

My computer is set to get updates automatically, so hopefully I should have all the necessary updates.

Thanks very much
