To Anyone who can help me,

Just the other day I somehow got something on my computer. In the bottom corner of my screen there is a Red Icon with an X in the middle and says "Your Computer is Infected" yadda yadda. And if i click anywhere around the X loads up "ultimate defender." Also when my computer loads i get an error that something along the lines NT_kernel error 1256" My computer has started running really slow, and if i try to use any anti-virus, nothing loads. I also tried following along with other people who had similar problems, but was unable to follow for long since i can't load any programs to run virus scans. Does anyone have any advice on anything that i can do to get rid of this thing. help!

Sounds like maybe you should post a HJT log in the Hijack This section....
