I am a low tech person, but I read up pretty good and can change out basic hardware. I am having an issue with getting the correct upgrade of a video card. I currently use an ASUS 6600, and was going to upgrade to the ASUS EN8600GT, but it will not go into the PCI slots I have. I am confused. Do PCI and PCI express slots differ? My mother board is a P4-Titan GA-81PE 100 Series. Any help would be appreciated.

See if you can exchange your pci-express video card for an agp model, you do have an agp slot?

That is what my 6600 was in. Finding a good vid card to fit the AGP slot was tough which is why I switched to the PCI cards.

agp cards are rated 4x and 8x, that X times as fast as a pci card(really just the bandwidth)

pci-e cards don't fit and they start at 16x a pci's bandwidth

no way around it, you need an agp card

Thank you both. Mark that link was very helpful, and Chewy you were dead on.
