I have Vista Home basic installed from manufacturer (HP) on my laptop.

It all started with problems sending attachments with the mail. Some times it would take the attachments, other times not. Then I got problems retrieving attachments received. I get the binder, and when I click the binder, I get specification of the list of attachments. However, when I click on the attachment I want to retrieve, nothing happens.

I have tried via safety modus but it does not help. Is there any other way than formating the HD and reinstall Windows to have tis problem fixed?

Are you using a Standard User account or an Administrator account? Check in Control Panel to be sure.

I am not familiar with that, but I assume it is a standard one: Have never made changes since I bought the computer.
