Hi and welcome,
Sorry for delay. We are swamped.
Spybot always finds a file called core.cahce.dsk in /windows/system32/driver folder.
There is a driver protecting that file -- and to remove it we need to find the driver.
If you still need help, please do the following:
First check to see if Spybot has any updates and install if any.
Please reboot your computer in Safe Mode
by doing the following :
- Restart your computer
- After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
- Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
- Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
- Choose your usual account.
Click "misc tools"
Check both these items beside "generate startuplist log"list also minor sections (full)
List empty sections (complete)
Click "Generate startuplist log" and OK.
You can close the log file that pops up.
-- Run system scan with Spybot and let it fix anything in RED.
Boot back to normal mode and post the following log:
Let me know if spybot removed anything other than cookies and core.cache.dsk.
