I Have Laptop Problems

I have a laptop?
i currently have a fijtsu life book (xp pro)
now that i got a virus i need to do a clean install of windows.
ok, but i cant boot from my external cd drive it does not alloy this only floppy but i do have a cd drive to use. i have even called fijtisu about this they said there is no way of booting from a cd drive. maybe i can take the drive out and install it on another cpu using a external encloser (i have)

It makes me surprised that a laptop can not be se to boot from a cd drive.
My advice is try to connect your laptop with another computer and format and install from it.

Dont be supprise because it will happen with SATA drives HDD for a RAID driver is needed during formating or reinstalling windows. :thumbsup:

Another things is, what is the model of your lifebook? Mine is S series. So, I'm still using IDE PATA cables. Wont be a problem for me to reformat or even to reinstall windows.
