I have Windows XP. The preloaded software was Corel which included WordPerect 10. I was using it daily until I got a virus on the computer. Now when I try to access wordperfect10 it shows its "loading" but will close in a matter of 2 seconds not allowing the program to open at all. I have since gotten rid of the "Trojan" that was creating the problem, however Wordperfect 10 will not load at all for me to use.

Is there something I can do? I have searched the patches on the microsoft website, which have been unsuccessful. I cannot seem to find the backup cd's that came with this computer upon purchase. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

IMO, the obvious solution would be to uninstall (because of possible corrupted files) and reinstall...but lack of the program CD precludes that.

Another option, if you can't find the disk, is to try http://www.openoffice.org/ A free, open source, office suite
