Installed AVG antivirus software in my computer, so everday, messages will popup, usually: Google Desktop Or Windows Media Store want to establish TCP connection with remote IP address ..... on Port....

But this 'SPRTCMD.EXE' has me pretty nervous. When I try to get more info: get garbage canned messages. Though I "Deny" access, what is this? The other ones, for Google and Windows seem safe, and I'm tempted to let them in always. This one, with the .exe has me wondering. I may stupidly let it in someday.

I also have the Vista problem of the screen going black: fortunately, it's briefly.

Another note on the AVG software: they send me one to 3 emails daily on updates: it also does annoying interruptions to show me "threats" when I'm not even surfing the net: is this like the stupid waiter who won't let you eat? In future, I'll shop for less intrusive antivirus software. Thanks for any advise.

Here's some info on that file: http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintas...ibrary/sprtcmd/
Could be from your ISP.

As for the AVG stuff, I don't get any of it and use it on a lot of systems. I'd suggest that you unsubscribe and have them take you off their mailing list.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
