Here is my obligatory introduction. I am researching switching at least some of my computers to Linux. I liked XP fine, but as MS is discontinuing it and I Vista isn't backwards compatible, I am looking into Linux.
After having many problems with MS Office whenever I upgraded computers, I switched to Open Office and have not found a single regret. I am hoping I will have similar success with Linux.

I will ask the particular questions I have in another post.

Hi Empress, Welcome to Bleeping Computer

Please take a moment and visit the New User Orientation section, to get familiarized with how the board works.

There is also an extensive Tutorials section, that offers a wide range of information and solutions.
Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.
