Hi all,
my son is attempting to connect to BT broadband, having passed all the criteria that was asked to see if his computer was BT broadband compatible, he ordered it.
The kit came through, and while trying to install it asked him to insert hie Win 98 se disk.
His os is 98se, but was originally just 98. The suppliers upgraded the os to 98 se after there was a problem , but did not supply the os disk, so he only has the original 98 disk!!! phew!!!
Is there a kind soul out there who has one or could copy me one, i wpould be really grateful. Dont know the size of this thing (mbs or whatever)
but is it possible to download it to disk from somewhere onto my puter(i have broadband.
Many thanks
Geoff

Its not available for download as that would be piracy and illegal. When the computer asks for the 98 CD browse to C:\Windows\Options\Cabs. Many times when you have a computer programmed or upgraded the Windows Cab files are placed in that location.

Failing that you can buy a 98 CD used.

If the Cab files aren't there then that disk should work. The computer is most likely looking for some networking files.
