Can someone help?

In an earlier post someone asked "This program embedded itself into my system. It changes my desktop and keeps poping up with warnings and websites. It is called Privacy Protector, Error Cleaner and Spyware&Malware protection. I have tried to fix this but have had no luck. I have ran norton, stinger,AVG, spybot, etc. but nothing has worked..."

You guys provided a solution. It seemed to have worked. I started to use the advice (i.e. I downloaded the program you offered to begin fixing the problem) given to that user, but noticed that the advice was specific to that user's registry. Therefore, I did not know if it is wise to proceed on fixing my problem according to that advice (eventhough the problm is the exact identical of mine).

Can I use the advice that was given to that user regarding the above-referenced remarks?

Thanx

Yesterday, I wote that I started to download the offered programs that you guys offered that other user to fix the problems they were having (which is the sam as mine)...but I didnt finsh al the downloads because I think y'all removed them.

I think the program changed things on my notebook because everything looks different...and soyware doctor is on my tray (and runs each time I have ogged in)...everything looks different and the internet is not running the same...there are controls that I am not sure about (like phishing filter)...not sure what I shoulod do. Should I leave the spydoctor on the comp...I have Norton.

thx
