I have a Logitech V320 Mouse that I can not install. When I run setpoint 4.40, It only tries to install the usb drivers. The drivers are never installed. I have tried to use the driver update list, but every thing I try to download says it is not compatible with Vista. Why do they have these drivers listed if they are not compatible with Vista?Does any one know of a web site to download Vista USB drivers?

Do you have 32 or 64 bit Vista? To find out open up Control Panel, then click on System and Maintenance, then on System.
About 1/2 way down the page it'll state if it's 32 bit or 64 bit.

FWIW - here's the link for the download: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/428/133&cl=us,en
Just click on the down arrow by 32 bit to access the menu where you can select 64 bit.

There was an issue at work today with a similar problem - it was solved by a visit to Windows Update (some sort of USB hotfix). I won't be back at work until Friday - so let me know if you still need it.

Found this at the KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941600/

I found the update at work - but someone had renamed the file. So I can't reference it for you.
If you'd like, send me a PM with an email address and I'll email the fix to you.
This fix is only for certain systems - so it may not work for you. But, OTOH, it may work - so I'd say it's worth a shot!

Thank you for the hotfix. When I downloaded it, the installer said it didn't apply to my system. I tried a few fixes that froze my mouse. I had to reinstall the original OS which formated my hard drive. When my computer started, The mouse worked without the Logitech software.I don't think I am going to risk installing setpoint 4.40 for fear that my mouse will stop working. Thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work!

I'd suggest not installing any mouse software unless you need the added functionality of it. For example, I use the SetPoint software to map my middle mouse button to be the "Back" command - so I need it for that. Otherwise, there's just (IMO) no purpose to installing it.
