Hi everybody, I have been doing alot of research. But I think it would be wise to ask the experts before I have a problem. I run wins xp. Can I safely delete all the registry entries for aol, real player, symantec ? I ran erunt to backup the reg. I would be starting in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT ? I'm just learning about the registry, so any input would be helpful. Thanks joe

If you do not have those programs installed...deleting registry entries for them cannot harm anything.

Each of those names is synonymous with a multiplicity of registry entries, IIRC, once a given program has been installed.
