i'm having the same problem with no sound can u plz help me

Go to the following website download the file and install and when finished restart and then all should be well

Right-click on "My computer" select Manage - then select device manager, go into sound in there and make sure there are no red/yellow x's by your sound device.

If there is, rightclick on the device with the problem, select update driver.

If that fails, uninstall by rightclicking on the device, then go to your computer name - e.g. Mypc - at the top, right click "scan for hardware changes"

i downloaded that files and went to instell and after it did is said "driver not found! reboot your system, and run this setup again

The link Louis gave you in the previous post is the correct one for your Gateway computer with Windows XP for an OS
