Is it very difficult to instal a firewire port? My son has bought a camcorder and our computer does not have a firewire port. I bought the hardware and cable (on eBay) buthaven't a clue how to instal it. Is there somewhere I could go online that would give me step by step instructions on how to do it? Or should I just take it somewhere to have it done?

It's a simple process of taking the side off (unplugged, of course), removing one of the slot covers and inserting the card into a open slot and securing it. http://www.buildeasypc.com/hw/howto/instselectedhw.htm

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.
