Has anyone got a clue to what GLBFD71.tmp is?

I had a windows pop up today from Windows solutions etc; and one item description was 'GLBFD71.tmp stopped working'

I dont know what it is, or why its done it. I tried to Google the problem but it is not recognised. I think at some point the computer has crashed - its my sons comp. and he probably wouldnt say if it has.

The other problem listed was a Zone Alarm compatibility issue - i dont know if that is anything to do with it.

Any ideas?

Most times, if you google something and don't get a result - it's an indication that there's a problem (most likely malware). I'd suggest some free, online malware scans:
http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/sandbox...s%2Fdefault.htm (requires IE)
http://housecall.trendmicro.com

I like to use the Reliability Monitor to see what's going on - Go to Start and type in "reliability" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Click on Reliability Monitor in the left hand pane and see the results in the right hand pane.

FWIW - if it does turn out that there's an infection, you can get assistance from the experts over in the "Am I Infected" forum: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/
