Icons On My Desktop Blinks Due To Opra

I am using windows xp (sp2), 1GB RAM and AM athlon xp 2000+ processor.when ever i open my opera 9.25 browser the icons on my desktop start blinking .Can anybody tell me why is it happening?When I surf with firefox it doesn't happen.thank you for any help :thumbsup:

Have you tried opening Opera with nothing else running to see if it still happens then?

Does it happen only when you open Opera or also when you surf with it and open pages?

Have you checked TaskManager to see how much RAM Opera is using when it loads up?
