My friend has been complaining about his Internet speed/ping (response) time, he plays Counter Strike and all. Anyway, he scanned his PC using Ad-aware (unsure which version exactly), updated it, and found out a bit of spyware had been hanging out in his PC. Anyhow, I told him to use TrendMicro HouseCall (he does not have an antivirus software installed) to scan his PC for viruses. It found some, he deleted what he could, but there's a stubborn one, called Java_Openstr.B (if I'm not mistaken). Here's his log;

Hi

Please uninstall ISTSvc from Add/Remove Programs.

I don't see an antivirus installed.

Please download and install Kaspersky Antivirus trial. REBOOT your machine.

Open Kaspersky and go to Settings. Click Configure Updater. Select from Internet, extended databases. Update the program. Scan your computer.

REBOOT into SafeMode by tapping F8 key repeatedly at bootup: Starting your computer in Safe mode

Scan your computer.

REBOOT normally and post a new hijackthis log.
