So, i just had a scan at Symantec....

okay, so i was posting to one of my BBs and every few minutes it would be like i clicked on another window....but this would happen while i was typing...so all of a sudden, no words were showing up as i typed and i would have to click on the window so i could finish what i was doing...

so, i mosey'd (mosied?) on over to symantec and ran a scan and it came up with 17 "threats" but no viruses....here is the list....

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ERFFILTP.exe is infected with Adware.Winpup

my question is...what is it okay for me to delete....symantec didnt give me any help with getting rid of threats....

I'd run adaware and spybot, they'll more than likely clean most/all of them up.

I agree. If all else fails, try running Hijackthis (http://www.merijn.org/) and copy the log file to this forum. There are those who can read what may be causing your problems. I'm attempting to learn some of these tricks myself, so i'll try to help as much as i can.
