I have been infected with some sort of malware or virus. I always get popups that say I have a virus, but then I click it and it takes me to a malwarecrush website. This lead me to believe it was malware crush, however in my hijackthis log it did not have the files that the remove malware crush forum post said it would. Also, I did the removal stops for malware crush and in safe mode> control panel > add or remove programs, I did not find the file it told me to remove nor did I find it in system32 folder like it also stated. So maybe I am wrong, I have downloaded three spyware/adware/malware removal programs from savemybutt.com but to no avail. They got rid of some things but the main virus is still there. I am constantly getting popups and it totally bogs down my computer. I also had the outerinfo virus installed on my computer, however I removed it via add/remove programs. Please help me! Thanks- Garret

Welcome to BC Thresh :flowers:

Since you have already followed the removal guide, at this point I suggest you follow the directions in this guide. Then create an HJT log, you will find the directions in the guide.

Create a new topic in this forum, not here and give it a good descriptive title. Briefly summarize what the problems are, what you have done to try to solve it, and what worked and didn't work and paste in your HJT log.

After you post your log, DO NOT make any further changes to your computer: deleting files, editing the registry, using special fix tools, installing or uninstalling software etc. as this will make it more difficult for the HJT team to help you.

Please be patient as the HJT team is very busy. DO NOT bump your log as the team may think that someone is already helping you. If you have not had a response in five days, add a response to the five days no response topic and paste in the link to your thread.
