I'd first suggest a free, online scan for malware (because McAfee got into the act):
http://safety.live.com (requires IE)
http://housecall.trendmicro.com

Also, I'd ensure that your Windows Updates are up to date - as this may be an attempt to exploit an unpatched vulnerability in your system.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Try the second link - but it not being able to scan on the first one suggests that this may be malware related. If so, I'd suggest that you post over in the Am I Infected? forums for more expert assistance: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/
