Hi there,

Seems like you are a regular costumer over here. :D
I see that you don't have an antivirus and firewall installed. Also, your windows isn't up to date.. your system is extremely vulnerable!

Ok..

°First of all, you are still using a previous version of hijackthis.. so please update your version by starting hijackthis,
click on the 'misc tools'>Check for update online. Download the new version (1.99.1), unzip it and make sure you put it in an permanent folder.
(If the update option doesn't work, please download your new version here)

* Download and install CCleaner
Do not use it yet.

* Please set your system to show
all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

* Open notepad and copy and paste next content in the white field in it.

@echo off

%systemdrive%
cd %WinDir%\system32
attrib -r -s -h elite*32.exe
del /q elite*32.exe

echo Merging registry....
echo REGEDIT4>c:\clear.reg
echo.>>c:\clear.reg
echo [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LQ]>>c:\clear.reg
echo [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ohbbackup]>>c:\clear.reg
echo [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Elitum]>>c:\clear.reg
echo [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]>>c:\clear.reg
echo "antiware"=->>c:\clear.reg
regedit /s c:\clear.reg
del c:\clear.reg

Save this as elitefix.bat , choose to save it as *all files and place it on your desktop. Don't use it yet!

* Close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/.../search/ie.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

* Reboot into Safe Mode`:
°To get into the Safe mode as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key". Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\YMSNGR.EXE
C:\Documents and Settings\BRYSON\Application Data\swpd.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\n?tepad.exe <== please do not delete notepad.exe here!!
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ipv42.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\gone.scr
C:\Program Files\AdTools Service <== this folder
C:\Program Files\Preview AdService <== this folder
C:\windows\system32\elitetfj32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\eliteerror32.dat
C:\windows\EliteToolbar or EliteSidebar <== this folder

* Doubleclick on elitefix.bat you made before. A doswindow will open and close again. This is normal

* Start Ccleaner and click Run Cleaner

* Reboot your system back to normal mode

* Perform at least one of these online virusscanner:

http://fr.trendmicro-europe.com/consumer/p...call_launch.php
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/co...n_principal.htm
http://www3.ca.com/threatinfo/virusinfo/scan.aspx

Reboot your system again and post back a fresh HijackThis log and I'll take another look.

Hello,

Much better..

*Go to start >run and type: services.msc and click OK
Scroll down in that list until you find the service ZESOFT
Doubleclick on it. In the window that will appear, click on "Stop" and change the Startup Type to disabled.
Click apply and OK and close all open windows.

Then start hijackthis, check and fix the next items in it:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {ED103D9F-3070-4580-AB1E-E5C179C1AE41} - (no file)
O23 - Service: ZESOFT - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\zeta.exe (file missing)

Open notepad and copy and paste next content in the white field in it:

dir C:\WINDOWS\System32\n?tepad.exe /a h > files.txt
notepad files.txt

Save this as look.bat , choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
Now doubleclick on it and notepad will open with some text in it.. copy and paste this in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.

Hi,

n?tepad.exe is really there in your system32-folder.
Most probably it can have the same name as the legit notepad.exe, but it uses a 'weird character' in it, that explains the questionmark.
So search again.
The bad one you have to delete is dated 02/08/2005 and has the size of +/- 417kb (rightclick and choose properties to look at the date/size)
The legit notepad.exe (good one) is dated 08/04/2004 and has the filesize: +/- 69kb. Don't delete that one!! This one also has Microsoft in the properties.

Also, check and fix the next entry in hijackthis:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Yahooo Instant Messenger] YMSNGR.EXE

Seems like I overlooked it in your previous log.

Reboot and post a new log afterwards.
How are things running now?
