Hi everyone, in Nero 5, when I open it up, it only detects an Image Recorded. I have an Imation DVD Burner, but according to Nero it is an Image Recorder. Does anyone know why it would be detecting it as an Image Recorder and not a DVD burner, Windows XP detects it as a DVD Burner, why not Nero? Also when I go to Nero Burning ROM in the wizard I can only select the CD option. If anyone could help me out with this it would be great and most appreciated.

Thanks, David.

I've heard of a lot of different problems with Nero. Most solutions were to uninstall/reinstall. Others replaced the program altogether.with a better program.

Ok thanks garmanma. The program you suggested to me isn't enough for what I want to do, but thanks anyway!

THis is what it says in Nero. (The Screenshot)

I have solved the problem by myself so I do not require any help. Thankyou.

I had some real issues with even the newest/latest nero 5.5xxx and seeing newer dvd burners

With version 6 nero went to a different engine that sees all new burners, of course imgburn and it's successor always did that

the new imgburn we are beta testing will convert and burn audio files by creating a cue sheet, now getting the right codecs installed to convert flac files was another story

another feature is a language pack
