No Sound

Can anyone tell me why I can't get sound on a recently installed dvd player using windows media player. I would appreciate any help. thanks

It could be down to any number of reasons, faulty hardware, damaged software, corrupted drivers, loose cables. To name but a few, Could you give more information on the problem you are having.

Open Device Manager and expand all of the +'s. Look for any yellow exclamation points or red X's
