Hi,

First of all... I see you are running Teatimer.
I suggest you to disable it because it can interfere with the changes you'll make on your system.
When everything is done and your log is clean again, you can enable it again.
If teatimer gives you a warning afterwards that some changes were made, allow this instead of blocking it.
How to disable TeaTimer <== click me for instructions.
After you disabled Teatimer, download ResetTeaTimer.bat to your desktop. (In case you use Firefox, rightclick the link and choose "save as").
Doubleclick ResetTeaTimer.bat and let it run.
This will only take a few seconds.

Then, * Please download FixwareOut from the following site:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log.

Hi,

Navigate to and delete C:\WINDOWS\Temp\kduho.ren

I see you have been using Spybot s&d previously. When it notices the infection you were dealing with - which is a DNS Hijacker, Spybot s&d sets your DNS to OpenDNS.
Read here for more info what OpenDNS is: http://www.opendns.com/start/

So Spybot S&d modified your DNS settings in your Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) settings.
This was done automatically by Spybot s&d. Read here how OpenDNS is manually set: http://www.opendns.com/start/windows_xp.php

In case you don't want to use this OpenDNS service, check and fix next entries in HijackThis:

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{0327248D-BEBD-44E1-A205-DB1B8AB0DF11}: NameServer = 208.67.220.220,208.67.222.222
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 208.67.220.220,208.67.222.222
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{0327248D-BEBD-44E1-A205-DB1B8AB0DF11}: NameServer = 208.67.220.220,208.67.222.222
O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 208.67.220.220,208.67.222.222
O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\..\{0327248D-BEBD-44E1-A205-DB1B8AB0DF11}: NameServer = 208.67.220.220,208.67.222.222
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 208.67.220.220,208.67.222.222

In case you want to use this service, then leave it as it is.

Let me know how things are running now.

Also, in your registry, I see the Userinit value is set to:

F:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,

So this means that there's a userinit.exe file present in your F:\Windows\system32 folder since it loads the first path first - otherwise you would not be able to log in.
Can you tell me if there's a userinit.exe present in your C:\Windows\system32 folder? This is important to know...

I do have a userinit.exe application file in my C:\Windows\system32 folder. The computer seems to be running great and without issue.

I will probably leave the OpenDNS as is and try it out unless advised otherwise.

Thank you for helping, I really appreciate it.

Hi,

If you do have an userinit.exe in your C:\ folder, you may check and fix next entry in HijackThis:

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=F:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,

Fixing this entry in HijackThis should reselt that value to the default value > only pointing to the one in your system32 folder.

Glad I could help.

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.
Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.
