Do you need to reformat your computer if you change your graphics card?

You have to remove the old drivers and card (if you had a card and was not using onboard video) and then install the drivers for the new card. Please make sure that you have the correct card for your system...there are different models of varying sizes and power requirements and it's not exactly a "one size fits all" thing.

If you were using onboard video before, you need to disable it in the BIOS/CMOS settings.
