Hi,

I Have windows Xp with service pack 2 installed in my system... 512MB of RAM and using Firefox to browse internet.

About 3 weeks ago, my pc got hanged and i pushed the reset button to restart the system. After that I see this file, savedump.exe running in the process list. I checked up the msconfig>>>start up and services, but didnt found this program or may be i didnt understand what program to check in the services tab for it.

The savedump.exe process quits in about 2mins or 4 mins after starting the system. And a folder named minidump has been created in the c:\windows

Can anyone tell me why is this happening??

Scanned with Adaware-SE and AVG Anti-spyware 7.5 latest and NOD32 Anti-virus system.

Thanks

Hello distroyer

Welcome to Bleeping Computer!

Sorry about the delay. We're all volunteers here, and it's been very busy. If you still need help, please post a new HijackThis log to make sure nothing has changed.

Before posting the log, please make sure you follow all the steps found in this topic:

Preparation Guide For Use Before Posting A Hijackthis Log <--link

And I'll be happy to take a look at it for you.
=====

I also need to see a different type of log from Hijackthis:
  • Run Hijackthis.
  • Click on "Open the Misc Tools section".
  • Next click on "Open uninstall manager".
  • Press the button 'save list'. It will open a Notepad file.
  • Place the content of that file here in your next reply.
Thanks, for your patience.

Stelios
