Would an ATI Radeon x1050 be better than, say, a 6500? I know the x1050 is still kind of crap in terms of gaming, but my friend seems to think that his video card is better than mine.

The Geforce 6500 is better than ATI X1050 cause it supports Pixel Shader 3.0

Although they have similar specs, the 6500 supports Pixel Shader 3.0 as opposed to 2.0 on the X1050.
