Hi folks. I just found this site and I'm hoping you folks might be able to help.

I have a fair amount of experience with computers and I'm currently doing an HNC in computing. What you might call a mature student, lol (42). Anyway, I'm trying to clean up a friends system and quite honestly I've never seen anything this bad. Riddled with spyware and software that's surplus to requirements. So what's causing the problems now is a ptrogram called CA Security Centre. It's seems to be a known problem but I just can't seem to uninstall the damn thing. A Google search sent me here so I'm hoping you guys have the answer.

When I do get this fixed I'll keep on top of the sotware on this PC in future.

Anyway, looking forward to maybe helping anyone else when possible, take care folks.

Thanks guys. I'm really struggling with this problem. I would do a complete re-install but the disc my friend has is only an e-Machines recovery disc and as such has the offending CA Security Suite as part of the install. Can't seem to find any reliable advice on a correct uninstall procedure. Ah well, I'll keep looking.
