My friend keeps getting STOP: 0x00000024 (0x00190203, 0x82FAA2E8, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000. It goes to the blue screen and then crashes. Is there a way to solve this problem as he can't get no farther than the xp screen before it goes blue.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...m.mspx?mfr=true See the section Resolving The Problem.

Ignore the fact that it lists the O/S as Win 2000, it applies to XP as well.
