OK - I have now done everything on the list and this is my log. On all of the things I ran, the only thing I seem to have achieved is to remove some dodgey cookies and temp internet files. Nothing has been identified - HOWEVER - my computer was extremely slow before = and is a bit faster now .... not sure if thats because I have slowed down tho - lol - ok sad attempt at humour.

Sorry for the delay

Please go HERE

And Download SmitFraudFix by S!riSave it to your Desktop->>
Double-Click SmitfraudFix.exe (it will create a Smitfraudfix folder on your Desktop)
When another window opens
Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files.
WhenFinished the log will open in Notepad, Ctrl+A to copy
Copy and Paste that log as a reply to this thread
By default The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt
Do Not run option 2 until instructed to do so

Please note that some Antivirus programs flag process.exe as an infection, but it is actually a needed componient of this tool

Daisey-lea

You are most welcome.

1. Reboot into Safe Mode
This can be done byRestart your PC, and after it starts, but before you see the Windows Splash screen
Begin tapping the F8 key twice a second untill you reach another menu screen (black background with white menu choices)
Use your arrow keys and select Safe Mode and then Enter
2. Open the SmitfraudFix Folder, then double-click smitfraudfix.cmd file to start the tool.Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press Enter.
Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.
You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?" answer Yes by typing Y and hit Enter.
The tool will also check if wininet.dll is infected. If a clean version is found, you will be prompted to replace wininet.dll. Answer Yes to the question "Replace infected file ?" by typing Y and hit Enter.
A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process, if your computer does not restart automatically please do it yourself manually. Reboot in Safe Mode.

The tool will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.

3 Reboot your PC in Normal Mode->>Re run Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log.

Your reply should includea fresh hijackthis log
your c:rapport.txt log from Smitfraudfix

1. We Need to temporarily disable SpyBotS&D Tea timer so it doesn't interfere with our fix1) Run Spybot-S&D
2) Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3) On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4) Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts
5) Restart your computer.
2. Rerun Hijackthis (scan only) and place checks beside the following entriesR3 - URLSearchHook: SweetIM For Internet Explorer - {BC4FFE41-DE9F-46fa-B455-AAD49B9F9938} - C:\Program Files\Macrogaming\SweetIMBarForIE\toolbar.dll (file missing)

Close all other open windows except Hijackthis and Select "Fix checked"

Close Hijackthis ->> Reboot your PC ->> Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh Hijackthis log

And in your reply, give me an update on how your PC is running now.
