Need help completing the removal of trojans and spyware from this PC.

Actions Taken:

1. Ran ATF Cleaner to empty temp files/folders
2. Ran Ad-Aware 2007. Program causes PC to crash and then restart.
3. Ran Spybot S&D v1.5. Finds 'win32.tiny.abk'. Can fix it but, it returns on restart.
4. Ran Kaspersky AV and deleted 'rootkit.win32.agent.ui'
5. Ran McAfee Avert Stinger. Nothing found.
6. Installed all available Windows Updates.

I also have a suspicious file that I cannot find out what it is for, 'soxldrmd.dll'.

Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix.
This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Post the entire contents of C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
Also post a new Hijackthis log.

Richie,

I followed your instructions, the Win Xp Recovery Console has been installed and I ran Combofix.

However, after Combofix re-started the PC it didn't continue to run and therefore I have no log file from it. Here's a log file from HJT:

Look in C:\ComboFix.txt,post the entire contents of that .txt file if present.

If still no joy do the following:
Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
* Close all other windows before proceeding.
* Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
* When it has finished, DSS will open two Notepads: main.txt and extra.txt
* Use Save As to save both Notepad files to your Desktop and post them in your next reply.

Richie,

I found Combifix.txt in C:\Combofix folder. Since it was pretty much empty, I followed the instrcutions to run DSS.

You have Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 and AVG7 installed.
Its definitely not a good idea to have more than one antivirus program installed on your computer.
Each program may interpret the actions of the other as viral, therefore giving you false virus warnings about virus-related activities.
It could also lead to system slowdowns and other problems within the operating system, due to the two conflicting with each other.
You should uninstall one of them now, then restart your pc.

Click Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs and remove Web Savings from Ebates, then restart your pc.

Copy and paste ALL the following text in the Quote box below into Notepad.
Click on File(in the menu at the top)>Save as../Save as Type: 'All Files' /File name: fix.reg to your desktop.
Then double click on the fix.reg file on your desktopPosted Imageand agree to merge the information into the registry, then restart your pc.

Richie,

1. Uninstalled Kaspersky and restarted PC.

2. Removed Web Savings from Ebates and restarted PC. Went into Add/Remove Progs. and it was still there. I get the following error when trying to remove it:

"ERROR: Could not execute Main : The system cannot find the file specified."

3. Ran fix.reg and restarted PC.

Click on Start>Run,type Regedit then press Enter.
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Uninstall
There you can delete the unwanted entry [Web Savings from Ebates].
If you cannot see the entry you are looking for by name, click on the long number entries at the top of that list, keeping an eye on the right hand window until you find it.
Delete that,then exit regedit.

Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune:
http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=1
Do not run it just yet.

Download\install 'SuperAntiSpyware Home Edition Free Version' from here:
http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfi...ANTISPYWAREFREE

Launch SuperAntiSpyware and click on 'Check for updates'.
Once the updates have been installed, exit SuperAntiSpyware.
Do not run it just yet.

You might want to print/copy the following as you need to be in Safe Mode from here on.

Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE using the F8 method.
To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly.
A menu will appear with several options.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode".

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting 'Fix checked'.
Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing:
