*Disclaimer*

I have not done the full "preparations before you post HJT log" due to time issues. I would like to see if anyone notices anything else that needs to be fixed while I am at it. The problem I had is not being able to download Adaware in safemode w/ networking and when I put it on a disk, it didn't work. Are these programs going to be downloadable in safemode w/ networking? or should I prepare a disc with them on there already?

Anyway, I am currently a half hour away from the computer I am trying to fix(at college) and I am going home saturday to get new brake pads in which I will be able to work on the computer. So that is also part of the reason I didn't get to do the entire list. I'm telling you this because the computer really needs to be fixed by saturday or sunday by the latest and i'm trying to ensure that I fix it by covering all sides of the problem. I also want to say that I appreciate the time you take to help me out  thanks!

Ok so my moms friend has a virus(how u get one this bad is beyond me)

It's a trojan.vundo and it pops up on her norton internet security(HA) in C:\WINNT\System32\__c00CFB6.dat

Here's what I've tried so far:

Deleting fishy registry keys from the run folder

symantec fixvundo(along with 2 other vundo removers)

I d/l process explorer and suspended WINLOGON.exe to attempt to delete the file. It won't let me delete it cuz it's being used by some other process. Oh, and this is all in safe mode.

Finally I resort to HijackThis and again suspend the Winlogon and delete the process and file but every time I resume it, it reappears.

It is impossible to run in regular bootup mode too, cpu is at 100% usage.

A couple other questions. There is about 4 other .dat files in WINNT\system32, are they supposed to be there?

Also, I deleted some things from the registry as I stated above, but now when I start up windows, it says that the registry size is too small and to up the maximum registry space. What do I do to stop this?

*edit*
I've deleted some of these already, I just wanna see if I deleted the right ones =)
Finally, heres my HT log:

Ok, all is good in the hood. I ended up having to use a program called CRD Commander to delete the file. It was a pain in the ass up until this point, but CRD Commander was a breeze.

and I just read this lol...

Wonder why I wasn't getting help lol. Anyone, this thread can be deleted, thanks.
