Hello all,

This computer got infected. When I got there it had spyshredder and pop ups running all the time. I first turned off

restore and then tried the online Housecall (trendMicro). It removed some. I then tried the fix from Bleeping.

Spyshredder was still there. I did it 3x. It still persisted.

I then removed the Norton Si and installed trendmicro 2008 and ran it. It removed some but there was still pop

ups. I then loaded and ran counterspy. It removed Virtumonde. But there was still some pop ups in the search. I

then installed AVG and it removed VB.CEC trojan. Funny it was the SmitfraudFix.exe and SmiUpdate.exe that were infected with the VB.CEC trojan. It also virus vaulted many .dlls that had Lop virus.

thanks,
vern
