i recently loaded the new empire earth 3 on my laptop but im havin problems with it. It installed successfully and i can start the program but when to load any map (e.g any game tutorial or skermish) it wont load and i get this error up on screen in a windows box:

The instruction at 0x7c80976f referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be written.

Click OK to terminate the program
Click Cancel to debug the program

Either ooption shuts down the game. I have another game installed on the laptop which is Football manager 2006. And my laptop is running smoothly otherwise. Is there anything i can do to make this software work or is it just not suitable for my computer?

Hello,

The error is basically saying it has been assigned a block of RAM, but cant use it and it wants to. I have had this problem countless times, an Uninstal and a cleaning of temp files and in some cases the registry(back up first) then a defrag, then installing the program fix the error for me.

I would try uninstaling and re instaling it first.
Also, have you made any changes to the game? mods edits cheats and so on, because 7/10 they cause the problems.
Regards,

Alan.
