Can anybody please help me?!

A thumbs.db file has appeared in my photos folder. Is it because I have deleted pictures? Or is it because of something else? I'd really like to know how these files are created!

Also, is there anyway of viewing the photos from the thumbs.db file?

Thank you.

The thumbs.db file is normally hidden, so you may have made a change to the folder options to "show all hidden files." Normally, hiding these files is a good thing because they are usually files essential to the working of your operating system and by hiding them, you minimise the risk of accidentally deleting something important. With thumbs.db files, this is not, however, the case and these can be deleted without interfering with how thumbs show in your folders.
