Go to this link ( http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...;l=en&s=gen ) and enter your Service Tag Number to get to the downloads for your system.

Also, read some of the FAQ's here to help with the order of installation: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/glo...;l=en&s=gen

If there's some confusion as to which drivers to use, post back with which one's and we'll see if we can help to clarify things.

Unfortunately ...the above answer is NOT a viable solution.

The Dell Inspiron 1521 UNLESS shipped with XP will not offer the ability to install drivers compatible with XP from the Dell website by inputing the Service Tag in.......it doesnt work!!!! Take it from a Dell WPD Certified Tech.

You have to hunt and hunt and HUNT for drivers that will work with the 1521 And XP (because usually Vista is what is shipped with it and those drivers do not work with XP).

So-Dont waste your time typing in the Service Tag in Dell's website-it will get you no where. Try looking through google and I know (am still looking for which one) that there are other Notebooks that have xp drivers that will work on the 1521..I have had to deal with this issue on an XPS machine before...)

Good Luck

Hi Kackels! I disagree with your assessment (as a Dell WPD Certified Tech) that the drivers aren't available.
Going to the Dell Support website and entering the model number for this system yields 2 choices for OS - One for Vista 32 bit and one for Windows XP. Selecting XP gives the drivers for it. As I don't have Kord's service tag number, I can't tell if this will yield the same results.

Here's the link for the XP drivers: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/...&hidlang=en
