Alright, my problem and what i have done to attempt to fix it is posted in the xp section here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/125524/explorerexe-keeps-restarting-uhoh/
one thing i forgot to mention, though, was i did do msconfig and changed some systems and startup items with no successful repair. ill give a quick rundown on my problem for those lazy ones.

My explorer.exe keeps restarting because of a previous virus infection. I could still have one, but i ran the following : AVG, Norton, Trend online, adaware 7, Spybot S&D, and if you read the other forum post i did some other things...

This is my hijackthis scan in normal mode with the msconfig stopping a couple of things (if you need somthing else just ask me)

I apologize for the very long delay. We have a huge backlog of HijackThis Logs to handle and it has been taking us greater time than normal to get caught up. If you are still having a problem, and want us to analyze your information, please post a brand new hijackthis log. If we do not hear back from you within a couple of days we will need to close your topic.

When posting your logs please post them directly into the reply. Do not attach them.

Also make sure you have already followed the steps outlined below:

Preparation Guide For Use Before Posting A Hijackthis Log

Thank you for your patience.
