Mp3 Drivers

I just a mp3 player it's a USB-Stick MP3 Player with LCD Display and FM Radio MP-C886. but it won't recognize it when i plug into computer just say's, ( Found New Hardware MTP Device) and making a popping sound .

OS is XP Pro
Dell XPS G4

Can anyone help with this???

Since it should be automatically recognized in XP (without the need for additional drivers) there's a chance that it may be damaged. Have you tried it in other USB ports on the system (to rule out that port as a problem)? Have you tried other USB devices in that port - and do they work without problems?

Since it's a new item, it may be easiest to return it for an exchange.

Added info about drivers

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

i have the guide book its the same as the link .
yes i have other ports. still the same thing it worked when my brother put some music on it. and returning it not sure about that, it hard enough to get it out of package.
