I am having an amazingly similar problem. Installer tries to install PhotoGallery every time any user (4 on this system) logs on. I have searched for every occurence of PhotoGallery & deleted it.
I have downloaded the Windows Installer Utility - no impact.
I have purchased AMUST Registry Cleaner (prior to finding this thread) and done the cleanup.
I have looked in ADD/REMOVE under control panel for PhotoGallery & don't see one.

I DO find an occurence of PhotoGallery when using regedit, but dare not edit the register directly. I don't know of a way to specify an entry to delete using AMUST (have a question into them on their blog).

Any additional suggestions?
