Hello. I am thinking of buy a scanner. Is there one on the market that does a good job of photo scanning in color as well as document scanning with PDF or Word output? Thanks.

Hello,

I'm not an expert, but HP and Cannons have never let me down before. Regarding outputs to PDF, there is a good website that might be able to help http://www.pdfonline.com/
Regards,

Alan.

Yup have to agree with Boris, Canon scanners are brilliant! In my experience don't settle for anything less! Most scanners come with some OCR and image editing software. Sometimes this software is excellent but most of the time its terrible. If you find the software hard to use look for a product called ScantoOffice. A very inexpensive piece of software but very reliable and useful!.

Hope that helps!
