Hello,

You're also dealing with leftovers from other infections...

Go to start > controlpanel > software > add/remove programs and look if you have one or more of next programs installed and uninstall them:

Messenger Plus (CiD sponsor)
Bitroll
Bitgrabber
Bitdownload
Get-Torrent
CiD Help / CiD Manager
Download Plugin for Internet Explorer
Netpumper
Search Plugin
Torrent101
WinZix
W3player
Zone Media

This because they are bundled with the malware you are dealing with (swizzor aka lop).

This will uninstall the malware application.
In case, during uninstall, when asked for the uninstall Verification, please enter the numbers that will appear in the window.
In case it says that the file was not found, doublecheck again if you entered the exact command. If still the same, proceed with next steps.

In case you can't find them,

* Go to start > run and copy and paste next command below in the field:
(Please make sure you copy and paste it exactly as you'll find below)

"C:\DOCUME~1\CRAIGW~1\APPLIC~1\LINKRO~1\Bodyelseload.exe" -uninstall

Hit enter.

Then reboot. Important!

After reboot,

* Download ComboFix from here.
**Save it to your desktop**

In case you have used Combofix before, please delete the version you are having and redownload it again, because Combofix is being updated everyday.
For more detailed instructions how to use Combofix, see here.

In case your Antivirus or any other realtime scanner is displaying an alert after you downloaded Combofix or while you use Combofix, please disable your scanner and redownload Combofix again. Because some scanners may see some combofix related components as suspicious and block or delete them while there's nothing wrong with them.

* Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Note - Your internet connection will be terminated while ComboFix runs. Do Not attempt to re-enable it. Should ComboFix terminate prematurely, restart the computer to restore connectivity.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.
In case you see a sed.cfexe error with the option to send a report or not, choose "don't send".

When finished and after reboot (in case it rebooted), combofix will open again to gather the necessary information for the log. This may take a bit. When done, Combofix will close and a log should open, combofix.txt.
Post the contents of this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt - unless I ask you to.

Hi,

Please do not attach your logs, but copy and paste them in the thread instead.

I also see you have AdwareAlert installed. I do NOT recommend AdwareAlert since this one is known for a lot of false positives.. and because of that, I have seen it causing a lot of damage because of the false positives (which were system files) were removed.
So I suggest you uninstall AdwareAlert.

* Open notepad - don't use any other texteditor than notepad or the script will fail.
Copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into notepad:

File::
C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\B6FEA04891894880.job
C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\B548FEF4918B6B4C.job
C:\WINDOWS\Tasks\AB3330319184A3A5.job
C:\Documents and Settings\Craig Warren\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\lsass.lnk

Folder::
C:\Documents and Settings\Lesley Warren\Application Data\Link Roam Log
C:\VundoFix Backups
C:\Documents and Settings\Trevor Warren\Application Data\eAcceleration
C:\Documents and Settings\Sophie Warren\Application Data\Link Roam Log
C:\Documents and Settings\Craig Warren\Application Data\Link Roam Log
C:\Documents and Settings\Trevor Warren\Application Data\Link Roam Log
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Noun Love Bits Peak

Driver::
kbeepm

Registry::
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"igndlm.exe"=-
"updateMgr"=-
"lsass"=-
"SIDEBAR"=-

Save this as txtfile CFScript

Then drag the CFScript into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

Posted Image

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThislog.

Hi,

Not sure why Combofix deleted this file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\msacm32.drv

Please navigate to C:\Qoobox\quarantine\C\WINDOWS\system32\msacm32.drv.vir and rename the file back to msacm32.drv
Then copy the file back into your C:\Windows\system32 - folder

Also upload the file here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/submit-malware.php?channel=8

Then, check next entry in HijackThis:

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file)

Click the fix checked button below.

Then Your version of Java is outdated and needs to be updated to take advantage of fixes that have eliminated security vulnerabilities.
Updating Java:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 4.
  • Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 4".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • For Platform, select "Windows"
  • For language, select your language
  • Read the License agreement and then Check the box that says: "I agree to the Java SE Runtime Environment 6 License Agreement".
  • Click Continue
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
    - Examples of older versions in Add or Remove Programs:
    • Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2
    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0
    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.

Great stuff thanks for all the help, no more popups and overall performance seems improved, except slower startup loading avast, AVG etc.

One thing though, I uninstalled AdAware as you advised, and now upon startup I get a screen before login saying:

"lsdelete.exe not found - Autocheck skipped"

I know after looking around a bit it is to do with AdAware, and is caused by its removal, but I can;t find a solution to this, is there anything you know about it?

Hi,

Yes, it has to do woth ad-Aware...

It may be a good idea to reinstall ad-aware, because as I read here, some files are not properly installed. It *could* be possible that your Avast deleted or blocked this file though, because I don't see any other reason why this file is missing.
In anyway, if you reinstalled Ad-aware and you're still having the same problem, I suggest you start a thread about that at the lavasoft support forums here: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com This since they are the developers of Ad-aware and the only ones who know how to deal with this propery.

* Go to start > run and copy and paste next command in the field:

ComboFix /u

Make sure there's a space between Combofix and /
Then hit enter.

This will uninstall Combofix, delete its related folders and files, reset your clock settings, hide file extensions, hide the system/hidden files and resets System Restore again.

Good your other problem is resolved and Glad I could help. :thumbsup:

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.
Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.

Happy Surfing again!
