My desktop came up with a warning screen- all red with the nuke symbol saying my compter was damaged. I could not change this desktop.
I dessconnted from the net, I ran McAfee etc. and it says I have a clean bill of health.
I also did a search for an .exe files and trashed them.
Whenever I log on to my account my desktop is all white and error messages keep popping up asking for an image file (I am dissconnected from the net when I do this). When I log back in- no warning message but the desktop will only stay white- no matter what I do.
Before I ran McAffee, and was connected to the net- pop-ups would appear on my desktop- I mean like 100 of them at a time!
After I did all of this, I logged out, restarted and bam- same thing! The hpgalry.exe.cf8dd223 says "in use" when nothing else is running, if I do a search for ".exe" from today.
Is hpgalry.exe.cf8dd223 the problem or is it some type of virus?

Thank you

What do you mean but this?

I can't find any info on hpgalry.exe.cf8dd223.

Go to jotti's virusscan or virustotal.com. In the "File to upload & scan" box, browse to the location of the suspicious file and submit (upload) it for scanning/analysis.
Post back with the results of the file analysis.

So besides this file, then your saying the only other problem is that your desktop is white and your getting error messages? Can you provide the complete error messages (what do they say)?
