I am happy to find this site. I am going to need help with home search assistant,trojano-995 and other interesting things inhabiting my computer.
I guess misery loves company and I see from the posts, other people have the same problems.

Hi pygmy and welcome to our friendly Bleeping Computer community.
Nice to have you here with us. Unfortunately, the problems that plague you do find their way to many of us. The only good thing about having computer troubles is knowing they can be resolved and that you never suffer alone. Even if at times it feels like it. We look forward to helping you and your PC gain back your normal routine of functionality and norm.

Time spent reading the Tutorials is well-worth it, since a ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The Internet is not a safe place, as many have found out, but there are steps you can take to make yourself safer. Don't hesitate to post your problems or questions to the forums, because you will find a lot of friendly people ready to help.
Welcome to BC!
Regards,
John

home search assistant,trojano-995 and other interesting things inhabiting my computer.

We offer EVICTION NOTICES for them kind o' files!!

In all seriousness, those can be problematic, and please be patient as the instructions
are offered and the replys back n' forth narrow down the room for them to move
about inside your PC. It takes some time, but it'll be worth it to learn exactly how
it can be dealt with and the learning will last you a lifetime.

While you are at it, pass the time as suggested by the others here in your welcome/introduction.
Each person & their PC differs, so take it as
your pace allows & remember ... we all have problems of some kind
and once we are free of them, well, it seems another sort will inevitably
pop up and require that we learn some more.

I'm happy you found bleepingcomputer.com, pygmy

Misery may indeed love company, but so do those
who have had their brush with it and have
given it the boot in favor of better
things to do with our time.

I'm encoraged that you
have taken the
steps to get
rid of those
PESTS.

Thanks to all of you. This has been a rewarding experience
in that I was almost ready to chunk this thing out the window
with all the viruses, hijackers, and trojans intact.
But thanks to the help I have received here, I HAVE A CLEAN COMPUTER.
I am almost paranoid now and feel like running a scan every hour or two.
Read the tutorials and will recommend them to everyone.
Thanks again.
